This is regarding Science Books Donation project,  which is  a part of  'school initiatives from IIT Madras' 


We need to send Popular science books (in Telugu/ Tamil/ Hindi) to schools (7-12 classes). If you can give us some school address (including ph no.s/ email id), plz fill this form

As a part of the project, we are supposed to send 'Popular Science books' to Schools  across India having students (preferably 7th class to 12 class) who can read Hindi / Telugu/ Tamil.


For schools in Telugu region >20 books  

                       Tamil region   >20 books

                        Hindi region   > __ books 

(Exact number of books may  increase as new titles get published)


 

We wish to do it for other languages too at some later date. 


As of now, we have a self-imposed assignment (/we have ambitious plans) of sending books to about 3000 schools by the end of this year. 


We are almost done with the list of schools that we already have and we need details of more schools.  You may have to spend 30-90min in helping us by in getting some info:


Complete postal address of the schools and contact info of at least 2 teachers  (which subject they handle/ phone numbers (at least 1 mail id)).


Already we know several teachers and we are trying to get some info from them.


We can also try to get the school address from the education dept websites of various states & also from CBSE/ KV website.

This task is not going to take much of your time but will give you immense satisfaction. 



The books belong to the popular science category. Titles of some of the books (in Tamil/ Telugu/ Hindi) are:

 How did we find earth is round

How did we find electricity

How did we find lasers ....

How did we find numbers(/how did we start counting)...


 (Each topic 1 book...20-30 topics(/books) per school.. each book is about 40  pages(including text & images; A5 size)) (softcopies of some such books can be seen in www.arvindguptatoys.com Asimov series)


We wish that the school students and teachers will make best  use of the books.
